  • How do I apply? 
    The quickest way to apply is to complete our on-line application on this website. You may also print out an application and fax or mail it in. GHR will also gladly mail you an application packet.

  • Do you offer benefits?

  • How much will I earn working for GHR? 
    GHR constantly strives to offer the most competitive pay rates for your profession. Your compensation depends on factors such as experience, specialty, location, shift, and flexibility, as well as the client. Your Staffing Specialist will work with you to negotiate the best pay rate, assignment and location for you.

  • When and how do I get paid? 
    GHR pays on a weekly basis. You may choose to receive your pay via direct deposit or standard mail.

Direct Placement

  • If I send my resume, who will see it and can I keep my inquiry confidential? 
    GHR will contact you each time prior to submitting your resume for any position. Rest assured that GHR will keep your search confidential, and in such, will treat all correspondence accordingly.

  • As a Healthcare Professional, do I pay a fee for Direct Placement services?

  • Do you help negotiate my salary and benefits? 
    As part of our services to you and the client, we discuss the salary structure and benefits. We negotiate until all terms are acceptable to you and the client.

  • What type of opportunities does GHR provide? 
    GHR offers per-diem, part-time, full-time and blocked assignments depending on your profession, as well as direct placement for healthcare professionals. When you apply with GHR, you will indicate your shift and work preferences, and we will then match you to the shifts/assignments that most closely meet your particular needs.

Per Diem/Contract Staffing

  • Am I under any obligation after submitting my application? 
    No. Your application simply opens the door for communication between you and GHR. You can speak with a Staffing Specialist, discuss your options and locations, and hear about available assignments, all without obligation.

  • Do I have to work holiday or weekends? 
    No. However, we offer pay differentials for both holidays and weekends.

  • How do I get assignments scheduled? 
    Once you have completed and submitted all the required credentials, you can contact us by phone, fax or e-mail to let us know when you are available to work. When we receive your availability, your Staffing Specialists contacts our Clients to make a match. Your Staffing Specialist will call you to confirm your assignment.

  • How do I get started? 
    If applying on-line or printing our application from our website, you will be asked to complete: a short Employee Profile, an application, appropriate skills checklist(s), and a background release form; you'll also be asked to provide two (2) professional references. Once we receive these items, a GHR Staffing Specialist will contact you. (More about Employment Process.)   • I used to work for GHR and would like be reactivated, do I have to reapply? 
    An Inactive Field Employee who wishes to become active again must meet compliance standards before he/she can be reactivated and placed in assignments. Field Employees who have been inactive for 9 months or more must complete a Reactivation Packet. Field Employees who have been inactive for less than 9 months only need to send in updated paperwork and meet any new standards that have been put into place.

  • Is there a minimum commitment or amount of shifts required? 
    No. You tell us your availability, and we will provide you with assignments in your geographical area that match your clinical expertise. You choose where, when, and how long you would like to work. However, the more hours you work, the more benefits you're eligible for.

  • What credentials or documents are needed to become employed with General Healthcare Resources? 
    GHR follows all federal, state, & JHACO guidelines when it comes to credentials. In some instances, the facility will require additional documentation. Pre-employment Core Documents must be completed and received before we can place you in an assignment. Some states and clients have specific requirements regarding background checks and drug testing, which will be reviewed with you if applicable, as well as any other state-specific requirements. We have Credentialing Specialists who will guide you through the entire documentation process.

  • What experience requirements are there? 
    Typically, you must have at least one year’s experience in your field, preferably in the specialty you would like to work in. The level of experience required for a position is also dictated by the facilities we work with. GHR will work with you to match your level of experience with the best position possible.

  • What happens after I accept an assignment with GHR? 
    Your Staffing Specialist will contact you frequently to monitor the progress of your current assignment and to discuss potential new assignments. You can also contact us at any time to discuss concerns or questions.
