Taking short breaks during long tasks will help you maintain a consistent level of work performance, whereas working on a task without taking breaks tends to lead to a steady decline in productivity and performance.

If possible, try exercising during breaks. Going for a walk or to the gym during breaks might actually help improve your overall productivity at work. Getting your blood pumping during breaks will help clear your head and keep you focused.

2. Establish Self-Imposed Deadlines

We usually think of a stress as a bad thing, however a reasonable amount of self-imposed stress can actually keep us focused and help us meet our goals. Established self-imposed deadlines might surprisingly keep you on task and productive.

3. Stop Trying to Multitask

6. Keep Your Desk Clean and Clutter-free

Organization and less clutter can decrease your anxiety, in turn increasing your productivity. With less clutter, you will be able to think more clearly and spend less time searching for misplaced papers each day. Start by recycling old papers sitting around your desk to see if less clutter and distractions helps you become more productive.
